Otter Madness came to life kayaking on the scenic waters surrounding Bella Bella, British Columbia, home to the Heiltsuk First Nation for thousands of years.

Otter Madness, inspired by the experience of working and living in Inuit and west coast native communities, beached their kayak and emerged later that evening with an image which combined elements of native art and the spirit of winter sports

Two years and many “mad” brainstorming sessions later, Otter Madness came up with the idea of fusing native animal motifs into winter sports.  They realized that by marrying the two cultures they could capture the essence of what they think is truly great about Canada.

In their Wildlife Series, working with Coast Salish artist, Randy Frank, Otter Madness have created images which are both whimsical and fun.
